Remember Season 2 of the original G1 cartoon? Remember when you first saw that new Transformer and wanted to know his personality and his abilities, how he fit into the story, etc. etc.? It seems like comics rarely introduce new, unique characters these days, and they end up being more like rehashed ideas. Sure, I know it's about the toyline, but if you don't have toys, doesn't mean you can't come up with new characters, right? And I refuse to believe that the only originality we had died with the 80's, LOL.

Anyways, on that note, I haven't really designed any of my own Autobots in some time. I did a couple of characters for the Beserkers group, but now I need some new Autobots. So, I have a few ideas that I'd like to toss your way guys...

First of all, last night was a great success. I inked for about 5 hours (whew!), but the job was done. Today, I'll probably try to doodle some sketches in between calls. I found some simply SICK rides online today, so I'm going to convert them to Autobots.

What do you guys think of the alt modes? I'm going to try to give them interesting personalities. Have no ideas for backstories yet. Of course Torque was one of the first characters I created alongside Burnout back in 2003. It was Torque, Burnout and Sidestreet...man, it's been a long time, hasn't it? And these other two guys never got an upgrade!

In any case, I don't know when these guys will ever be finished, but I'm going to try to work on one of them today at work. Inks and colors whenever (if EVER) I get some free time. By the way, I have some sketches on my hard drive already of some other junk, a couple of Burnout pics...one of which I'm sure will be VERY controversial (lol, I can't wait for THIS debate)! If you thought robo-boobies were bad....just wait. I'll ink, slap some colors on those when I can. I'll try to post up some art while I'm inking commissions just to keep things interesting around here while we wait for the new stuff!
